Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about cricket net installation and maintenance
How long does a cricket net installation take?
Installation time depends on the scale of the project. A single practice bay can typically be completed in 1–2 days. A full multi-lane outdoor facility with groundworks, playing surfaces and security fencing generally takes 1–2 weeks. We’ll give you a realistic programme at the design stage.
Do you work to ECB standards?
Yes. All our installations comply with England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) guidelines and specifications. This is essential for clubs seeking ECB accreditation and for insurance purposes. We can provide documentation confirming compliance on completion.
Can you install both indoor and outdoor cricket nets?
Absolutely. We install indoor cricket facilities (sports halls, purpose-built indoor centres) and outdoor practice nets and cages. Each environment has different requirements and we design accordingly, whether it’s fixing systems into concrete floors and ceilings or driving posts into outdoor ground.
What areas of the UK do you cover?
We cover the whole of England with our three specialist site teams. We have also completed projects overseas. If you’re not sure whether we cover your area, simply call us on 03333 051163 or drop us an email — we’re happy to discuss travel arrangements for larger projects anywhere in the UK.
How much does cricket net installation cost?
Costs vary significantly depending on the scope of work — the number of lanes, indoor vs outdoor, groundworks required, surface type, and any additional features like lighting or bowling machines. We provide free, detailed quotes with no obligation. Contact us to arrange a site survey and we’ll give you a transparent, itemised estimate.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
Yes. We offer annual maintenance contracts covering inspections, minor repairs and safety checks. These are available for facilities we’ve installed as well as existing facilities installed by others. Regular maintenance extends the life of your nets and keeps your facility ECB-compliant.
Can you add floodlighting to an existing cricket net facility?
Yes. Retrofitting LED floodlighting to existing cricket nets is one of our most popular upgrades. LED systems are energy-efficient, long-lasting and dramatically extend the hours your facility can be used. We advise on layout, lux levels and energy requirements as part of our free consultation.
